Heavy Metal & Detox

Are you experiencing symptoms but struggling to find the root cause? Many people live with issues such as chronic fatigue, brain fog, headaches, joint pain, digestive problems, or low energy without realizing that exposure to heavy metals like mercury, lead, or cadmium may be playing a role. Over time, these toxins can accumulate in the body and interfere with normal cellular function. With over 20 years of experience, we support patients in identifying and removing heavy metals through therapies such as chelation therapy. Our detox programs are designed to gently support the body’s natural detoxification processes and help restore balance and overall wellbeing.

What are Heavy Metals?

Could toxins be affecting your health?

Many people experience symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, headaches, digestive problems, or hormonal imbalance without understanding the root cause. In some cases, heavy metals like mercury, lead, or cadmium may be contributing.

These metals can slowly accumulate in the body over time and interfere with normal body functions.

Possible Symptoms of Heavy Metal Exposure

Heavy metals can affect people in different ways. Some common symptoms include:

• ongoing fatigue or low energy
• brain fog or difficulty concentrating
• headaches
• digestive problems
• joint or muscle pain
• hormonal or thyroid imbalances

Not everyone experiences the same symptoms, and many people live with these issues for years without knowing toxins may be involved.

Where Do Heavy Metals Come From?

Exposure can happen in everyday life, for example through:

• food and water (especially certain fish or contaminated water)
• old dental fillings containing mercury
• air pollution in large cities
• industrial chemicals, paints, or batteries
• certain medications or environmental toxins
• some cookware or household products

• cosmetics and personal care products
• food packaging materials
• some cookware or household products

Over time, small exposures can accumulate in the body.

Testing for Heavy Metals

We usually begin with the non-invasive Vitacell Light Spectrometer to assess cellular health and possible toxic burdens. Blood tests often only show recent exposure, as many heavy metals accumulate over time in tissues and cells. Later, urine tests with chelation may also be used to help reveal stored heavy metals in the body.

Detox & Treatment Options

Treatment focuses on helping the body safely remove stored toxins and restore balance.

Detox programs may include:

Glutathione Therapy

Glutathione is often used as the first step in detox therapy because it is gentle on the body and does not remove important minerals. A series of around 10 injections over about 6 weeks is commonly recommended to support the body’s natural detox processes.

Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy helps bind heavy metals so the body can eliminate them safely. Different chelating agents may be used depending on the type of metal present. These may include EDTA infusions, DMPS infusions, or oral supplements such as DMSA, Dimaval, or Thiola. Treatment is always adapted to the individual, depending on symptoms, test results, and overall health.

Because chelation can also remove some important minerals, mineral support and monitoring are an important part of the treatment. The therapy is always adapted to the individual, depending on symptoms, test results, and overall health.
