IHHT and IHT Therapy – Oxygen Training for Your Health

We offer two distinct forms of oxygen therapy in Berlin: IHT focuses on metabolic activation and mitochondrial training. IHHT for regeneration & recovery for support chronic fatigue, Long COVID, chronic Lyme disease and in weakened or multimorbid patients.

What Is High Altitude Treatment: IHT - IHHT?

High Altitude Treatment refers to controlled oxygen interval therapy that simulates altitude exposure to stimulate cellular adaptation.

IHT (Interval Hypoxic Training) alternates between low-oxygen air (hypoxia) and normal room air (normoxia). It primarily activates mitochondrial function and supports metabolic performance.

IHHT (Interval Hypoxic-Hyperoxic Training) alternates between low-oxygen air (hypoxia) and oxygen-enriched air (hyperoxia). It enhances regenerative signaling and is generally better tolerated in patients with reduced resilience.

Both methods aim to improve cellular oxygen utilization and mitochondrial efficiency, but they differ in therapeutic focus.

When Is IHT and IHHT Useful to Use?

IHT is typically applied for:

  • Metabolic activation
  • Performance enhancement
  • Supportive weight regulation
  • Preventive health optimization

IHHT is used as supportive therapy in:

  • Chronic fatigue and exhaustion
  • Post-viral fatigue syndromes (including Long COVID)
  • Chronic Lyme disease
  • Multimorbid or weakened patients
